Let's be honest, "About" pages can be a snoozefest. I debated using "Us" or "Me" in the title and ended up on "Us," since I’ve got friends and family who jump in to help me get the job done. Instead of the usual "born and raised" spiel, here's the truth about the glorious mess that is Need4Productions:
Back in the day, I was a hardcore Minecraft player with the gamertag "Need4Dirt." (Yes, I know, very creative.) Anyway, that "Need" for something kind of stuck. Need a drink? Need sleep? Need to escape the existential void by making YouTube videos? You get the picture. Eventually, I became "Need4Joe," and the name stuck like flies on a fly paper. Now, I use "Need" for just about everything.
I wasn't always Mr. Fancy Videographer. My YouTube journey started as a battle against indecisiveness. I wanted to play video games, record sports, fling golf balls from a water balloon launcher, and fix my car (because those "shift knob" repairs aren't happening on a gaming channel!). Thus, Need4Productions, the parent company, was born. Need4Gaming came first, and once a spot opened up to stream local football, Need4Sports followed, and then of course Need4Productions itself at the head. Other "Need" names are probably coming soon!
Who knew watching my daughter cheer at football games would turn into a full-blown videography obsession? In 2023, a local teacher retired from streaming the games, and a hero (okay, maybe just a guy with a tripod and a dream) emerged. I’d recorded plenty of video games—how much harder could a live football game be?
It turns out, I loved it. But I also realized that our community needs more than just sports coverage. Whether it’s a city council meeting, a local event, or a community celebration, I realized I "Need" to be there to capture it all.
I strive for perfection in every stream. I’ve spent countless sleepless nights learning the things that make the big broadcasters famous—from custom scoreboard overlays to fancy halftime commercials.
But professionalism isn't just about a steady shot; it’s about being someone the community can trust. That’s why Need4Productions is a fully state-compliant vendor. I hold an active Arizona Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card—the highest level of security clearance in the state. This means I’m officially vetted and cleared to work anywhere, from high school sidelines and gymnasiums to government buildings and private events.
These days, I’m dipping my toes into all sorts of work:
Sports: Live streaming the local games with pro-level graphics.
Community & Government: Providing reliable coverage for public meetings and local speeches.
Private Events: Weddings, birthday parties, or any event where you need a pro (even if it involves screaming kids and "pin the tail on the donkey").
This is just a taste of what we do here. Want to know more? Dive into the blog for a deeper look at my life, my gear, and my (hopefully) not-so-shaky videography journey. Thanks for stopping by!
